Asher Kai is a folk singer-songwriter based in South Windsor, Connecticut. Her music, spanning sub-genres of folk- such as new wave or "nu" folk, country folk, and alternative folk- encapsulates her inner world, projecting the way she experiences everything into an immersive experience for the listener. Both her acoustic live shows and self-taught studio recordings pull you into her world with a voice that has been described as "haunting".

While she started releasing music in 2020, she has been making and participating in music since she was a very young child.

Asher may sing and play both the guitar and the banjo during her live sets, and on occasion the mandolin. For studio recordings, she plays guitar, banjo, mandolin, flute, bass, chord organ, and does most of her own recording, additional production, mixing, and mastering herself!
